I wonder... how hard it would be to beat FF7 without doing any of the sidequests (aside from Wutai), without getting any of the final Limit Breaks or Ultimate Weapons. Cause, I'm lazy, and have no interest in doing all that other crap. So... I think I'll take my chances, and probably have my butt handed to me on a silver platter by Sephiroth. I don't even have any level three spells. o.o But I'm really, really close to the end now (just beat Diamon Weapon... which was so easy it was sad). I've only died once (that gate boss in the Temple of Ancients). So I guess I'm doing okay?

I don't know what it is with this game, but I just never feel like leveling up. I spent weeks at a time leveling up in nearly every other RPG I've ever played. Maybe it's because I haven't really felt the need to. All of the battles have been so easy.

So, let's see if I can actually beat a game on a pathetically low level.

Shouldn't be too hard... that's basically how *I* beat it. Gave it SOME degree of challenge, which was nice, since the game is pathetically easy under most circumstances. (:

I sometimes don't need to level up in RPGs, because I sometimes misread directions to get to one place to another. Like I go east when they told me to go west (or the other way around). One time I explored the whole west side of this mountain, in Morrowind, when it was surrpose to be the east side. I also try to explore the whole dungeon that I go to.

I remember one times I explored this one dungeon that I wasn't suppose to go to in Thousand Arms, was kinda wondering why the enenmies seem to be alittle hard to kill. I then found nothing in the dungeon, and went back to the town were I found I went the wrong way, The dungeon I was suppose to go to was very easy ^_^;;

I only got like two of the characters level four limits, and I did end up getting a few final weapons..

Even so, everyone kept telling me I had to be at least level 90 to try to face off against Sephiroth, and I went in there with my three strongest characters being around 70.. my weaker ones ranging anywhere from 30-50. Which wasn't too good, since I got split into two teams and, whoops, we've got a bunch of level 30 characters trying to face off against Sephiroth. But I didn't die once in any of the battles, shawing.

Oh, and, also?

I NEVER GOT KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND. IT'S NOT WORTH IT. NOTHING'S WORTH IT. I HATE CHOCOBOS.

*sighs* I have gotten to the very end, but never beaten it. I didn't do a lot of sidequesting either. Mainly because I'm spoiled. I started the Final Fantasy series playing FFX (well, actually, Kingdom Hearts first.). But anyways... I'm spoiled on amazing graphics. Final Fantasy 7 has an amazing plot, but it was just so hard for me to play.

Wow, a huge paragraph, and I haven't helped you at all. I haven't gotten to looking over Nobody's Girl yet, but I do have an excuse. My power has been messing up. The power company finally might have fixed it - maybe. So, it's near the top of my things to do. I promise.

I think you're in the same boat as my sister-in-law, [info]x5_121. Her first FF game was FF8, then she moved on to 9, 10, etc. When she tried to go back and play some of the older games, she just couldn't handle the old fashioned graphics. I guess I'm lucky that my first was FF4, with it's silly little sprites and backgrounds that all looked almost identical, except for changes in color. XD So when I first played FF7, I was like "OMG! These graphics are AMAZING!" Haha. But honestly, once you get used to the lame graphics of the older ones (I totally recommend parts 4 and 6, they are the true gems of the series), there is much gold to be found.

And no rush about the NG thing. :D Take your time.

Yeah, it's just... I can't beat the older games. I haven't been able to beat FF8 either. Though that's partially because of a messed up disc. But I've beaten 9 and up.

But yeah, you're very lucky. I wish I had been playing this back when I was in love with Super Mario RPG. *Sighs* What lovely memories. I'd be much better adjusted then.
